Five on Friday

Happy Friday!!! I am linking up with April and friends for 5 on Friday :)

1.) This week totally wiped me out! The girls were sick for my birthday and then I caught it the night of my birthday, so I haven't even gotten to eat my funfetti cake that Russ made me yet!!

 2.) We got 5 inches of snow on Thursday and nothing was going to stop me and Charlotte from making a snowman.  I am pretty happy that it already all melted too...NC you are the best!!

3.) I have started running a lot since moving to NC and found an awesome trail to run on, and I run a lot with a good friend here, we ran 6 miles on Sunday and it felt awesome! Now if only it would stay warm enough (above 30) to keep running outside!  I signed up for a ten mile run here, and might sign up for a half marathon in October. 

4.) I think I mentioned this before but I am obsessed with Jane.com it is so bad.  I think I order something probably daily...

5.) I am excited for this weekend to recover from sickness, explore a little bit, and finish our never ending piles of laundry!

We got some snow today in NC and it was SO pretty!! My kids were so whiny though today I couldn't really enjoy any me time, and both girls kicked my butt today with needyness times a bajillion.  But as E was napping in my arms I did have a chance to look at some dresses I might want for some weddings this summer/fall.

Which I am seriously obsessed with lace lately and pink lace even more.

I am a sucker for maxi dresses. I feel like this would be perfect for a beach wedding, or just summer in general.

Which I love but probably just for a date night or a girls night out or something.  

E got sick over the weekend and so we didn't do much but we did explore a kids museum in Raleigh which was SO COOL.  Charlotte loved that she could literally go anywhere and play.  She didn't even know what to do first it was really cute, we will definitely be going back! I also ran 6 miles which is crazy because I didn't run once during the week, I am doing a ten mile race in April, so I am really excited to train for it!

Tomorrow is my birthday!! We aren't doing much but me and Russ are going on a bowling date after the girls are asleep, my awesome mom friend is coming over to watch the girls while we celebrate :) I think Char is more excited then me actually it is really cute.  

On my wish list I only had a few things including the Tswift CD, and then also I am a huge fan of Anthropologie's kids books, I want them all haha but I love this one

And then I really want to get new running shoes.  But that is about it!

 hahaha this picture cracks me up.  We were playing Scrabble and my cat is an attention hog and he climbs up and sits like this for a good 5 minutes and so Russ took probably 20 pictures and I could not stop laughing.

This is seriously the sweetest. Reading is E's favorite she will lay there or sit still and start smiling its so cute!

Snow in NC! Charlotte was convinced we would be able to make a snow man...didn't even get an inch, just lots of ice.

It is 15 degrees.  I don't think we left my bed all morning!

mom life

 I got barfed on today.  I picked E up and she barfed on me.  In my hair.  It wouldn't of been a big deal but I also got pooped on today too.  And my cat left her poop everywhere.  Also? when I went to work out at our apartment gym the treadmill just stopped after I ran 1.1 miles...

It just wasn't my day.  It started out great, Char picked out my outfit (I got inspired by an article I saw on facebook where this 2.5 year old boy dressed his mom for a week) She actually picked out a super cute outfit too, but by noon I got pooped, and barfed on so I immediately changed into sweatpants. 

Good thing this 6 month old and her sister are super cute, we have the best lighting in our room and E still stays still long enough for me to take pictures of her, Char is just over them at this point in her life because of the momarazzi that I am...Oh my gosh have any of you ever heard of Jane.com? (this is not sponsored) I am so addicted it is crazy.  

Happy Love Day!

 Happy love day!! We went to the farmers market this morning and got some yummy sourdough bread, and then to this market downtown to get flowers, and then yummy mochas at a hole in the wall coffee shop <3 Some little boy came running up to Charlotte with a lollipop and said "Happy Valentines Day!!" then he whispered in her ear "this lollipop will turn your whole mouth blue!!" SO SWEET! It was one of my favorite mornings yet here, just to spend it locally and walk around with the fam.  Then we had lunch and the girls went down for their nap (THEY BOTH SLEPT!!! Its a miracle) and I went for a 5 mile run.  For dinner Russ is making heart shaped pancakes, and strawberries, and then we are going to watch the sunset at Jordan Lake.

Donuts, dresses, and cute sisters

 It is in the 30s here today so we decided to put dresses on, have an indoor photo shoot and go get krispy kreme donuts in honor of Miss. E's 6 months here on earth! We love this little girl to the moon and back!

crazy kids

 Hellooooo! I have been wanting to blog but my kids have been crazy the past few weeks, teething, colds, tantrums, growing pains, and I don't even know what else probably gas? But it has made for very LITTLE sleep at night so I have been grumpy.  Good news is E got her first tooth it popped through this morning finally! So we aren't crazy she really WAS teething.  I just kept telling myself she was to make up for the lack of sleep and insane drooling this kid was doing.  It is so cute! but she is like a puppy and always wants to gnaw on you and everything, no wonder she got a cold.  There was a night last week where we got maybe 2 hours of sleep and I just kept thinking that this could not be real life.  But it was, and thank goodness for caffeine and my mom (who got lots of phone calls of me crying) because we got through it! 

Over the weekend one of my best friends and room mates from college along with her fiance came to visit us! We hiked, walked, went out, and had so much fun with them.  We went on a hike at Jordan Lake and it was one of the prettiest days, and views I have seen thus far here in NC.  I am just now today recovering from all the fun we had.  

Other exciting news is I signed under Rodan and Fields (makers of proactive) and am now a consultant for them! If any of you need anything or want to chat let me know I would love to talk skin with you! (I am such a nerd I know) 

Also I am going home in March and originally I was going to drive but I had to use my Southwest points before March 12 so now I get to fly business select and get a free drink on my flight!! I am so excited to go home with no kids, and just worry about my own crap.  Also 2 nights of sleep sounds pretty freaking amazing right now.
