girls weekend 2k13

1.) girls weekend 2k13 started off this morning going to hands on museum, its one of Char's fav places ever in life, and I love it too because it is an enclosed room she can't run out of, with like one million things to do safely.  I have to say I do miss the hubs, but I am enjoying the quality bff time I get to have with my little fav.

2.) omg my camera came todayyyy!!! i was literally waiting by the window for the UPS truck to get here and i met her outside to sign for it srsly i was EXCITEDDDD!! It kind of overwhelms me how to use it...but who cares its amaze balls.

3.) i went shopping today and got C some of the cutest spring outfits ever in life...hurry up warm weather!! AND I got myself some super nautical pants: obsessed.

4.) lately C hasn't been loving bath time (more like she has extreme feelings of hate towards it) she freaks out, starts screaming, and will NOT sit down.  its exhausting. well tonight she was amazing for me, usually it takes the two of us to hold her down (sounds awful doesn't it?) and she sat there and patted the water and looked up at me and SMILED wooo hoooo #winning.

5.) i'm laying in my bed in my comfy big sweats eating girl scout cookies, drinking wine, and watching rachel zoe. literally the best night ever.

blogger crushes

I wanted to do my first link up with one of my favorite new blogs I stumbled upon...Erin at Living in Yellow is so hilarious, and is doing this thing where you tell everyone who your blogger crush is (what blog(s) you absolutely love)...well I have quite a few but here are my top three :) none of them know I am doing this btw, so its kind of embarrassing but its probably fine.


1.) Ali over at Life and Us she is the most down to earth person, she is the cutest mom and wife, and has an adorable son, she tells it like it is, and is SUPER honest.  I love her style, and her pictures she takes, pretty much when she first commented on my blog I was SO excited because I feel like we could be real life friends :)

2.) L at Leather and Lace , was one of the first blogs I ever read, thanks to my bff crazy med school .  Lacie is one of THE most hilare people ever.  She talks about everything from poop, to unfortunate things that happen to her like getting locked out of her car by her animals (srsly), or falling in a parking lot.  She also has the cutest daughter, and her style is unique and I love it.  

3.) Lindsey over at Our Happiness Tour is one of my favorite blogs, she is seriously the prettiest mom ever, has amazing style and some really yummy recipes to try out.

mini tropical vacation

We went to the botanical gardens conservatory today, the hubs has had a mini spring break and had yesterday and today off.  so we decided to do something different and headed over to a mini tropical place.  It seriously did wonders for us all, to be in the warmth, and SUN (it was actually sunny outside today too) made us all feel a little bit happier and ready for spring!  Char loved the big fish, and I loved that she had so much fun running all her energy off.  Also my hair needed humidity today, I hate that winter dries it out so much...

The hubs is going to be gone all weekend on a boys weekend with his dad and brother, so me and C baby are going to be hanging out with her godmom all weekend having a girls weekend.  Party time/arts and crafts/yummy food I am so excited!! And to top it all off I get my bed all to myself (except for my bed hog cats).  Plus I rented some chick flicks (that the hubs would never watch) so I am pretty excited.

 

the blank wall

I was going to do a before and after but literally it was a blank white wall...so here is the hubs putting it together, and here it is all finished! I love it so much. I am sure I will change it around eventually but FINALLY there is something besides a blank wall to look at.  I will give you a sneak peak into our room when I get my new camera next week.  

today Char baby was an absolute monster...I think the terrible twos have started...either that or teething.  she woke up every 2 hours, so I don't think I even slept for an hour straight so of course I had some crazy weird dreams.  when she woke up for real (at 6 am) I was so tired I gave her applesauce instead of yogurt, and I ALMOST gave her some m and m's instead of cereal...its probably fine.

I have had major camera envy over some blogs, and some of my friends lately ever since last year...the hubs has had to hear about it for awhile, soo FINALLY:

I got the camera I have been wanting!!! It will be coming in the mail next week, I seriously cannot WAIT!!!! Right before summer too. I can die happy.

fancy fun

I had the best weekend.  The hubs and I got to go stay the night at a casino in Detroit, and have dinner at a fancy restaurant at the top.  As soon as we got there the hubs made me a bubble bath, and got me a drink, and told me to go relax.  I got an HOUR of un-interupted me time.  I read a book and it was amaze balls.  It was just what I needed.  Then after that I took a nap in our king sized bed, the night before C decided to have a party in her crib from 2:45-5 so I was a little sleep deprived.  We went and had dinner at the top of the hotel with a gorgeous skyline view.  It was just so nice to have the hubs all to myself.  Some of our good friends met up with us after dinner and we stayed up until 2 a.m....totally worth it.

Nordstrom Rack is opening in April and I CANNOT CONTAIN MY EXCITEMENT!!! We are also getting an anthropologie and srsly my bank account is going to hate me.  It's probably fine.

Also the hubs and I were talking about where we would want to live for his post doc (which is for 2 years) and we REALLY are strongly considering moving out of the country and experiencing a brand new place for a few years.  I cannot wait to see where the future takes us, I just am so excited that we are both so adventurous.  Char is going to learn so much by traveling, and I really just love experiencing new places and cultures (the food...not so much bc I am super picky, but everywhere has cheese and bread so its probably fine).

taking outfit pictures with a 14 month old is so hard. the hubs was gone at work already so i had to use self timer with char running around...not the easiest task in life. there was only one picture of me actually smiling, but C is trying to get away from me so it didn't really turn out and its super blurry.  so I am sorry for the awkward trying to get C to sit with me pics!

in other news I got fake eye lashes. they are katy perry (I love her).  I tried them today and I actually LOVE them! kind of hard to put on at first, but now that I have done it once I think it may be easier the next time.

I woke up thinking today was Monday...do not ask me how I came to this conclusion, I was super out of it (probably had something to do with splitting a whole bottle of wine with the hubs last night) its probably fine. but YAY its Friday.
