This morning we decided to meet up with some friends at the apple orchard and get a ton of apples for making applesauce, apple muffins, and apple pancakes! It was the perfect crisp fall morning and it was perfect lighting for taking some pictures. The best part about going with friends is having them be able to take family pictures of you! Even though Char wasn't being very cooperative in the smiling department. C loved climbing the ladders, and picking the apples. She also loved the donuts. The only problem with that is she is on such a sugar high and will not nap now. Worth it. I am so glad its finally feeling like fall, it has been such a busy week so it was really nice to spend time as a little family today.

Good day
Today was a good day, I got to spend mostly all of it with C, and didn't have to go to class until 7 p.m. it was a nice change! We went to the park with some of our besties and took some pictures. My friend J took these and she is SO awesome at making C smile, she is just the best. Fall weather is my favorite. I love layering. I love scarves. I love the leaves changing. I am crazy obsessed with the sky lately. There has been some amazing sunsets/sun rises and it just is great for the soul! The hubs is laying next to me right now snoring away, ugh not falling asleep first bothers me I get really nervous and annoyed so I usually end up waking him up and then falling asleep. He really is the best. I get nervous sometimes since we have been together so long that we won't still love each other, but then I remember why I love him so much in the first place. We have so much fun together, and we also are best friends so it just works. We are probably (most definitely) fine.

my girl
Since school started up again I have felt really anxious, guilty, and kind of sad. Not like depressed sad, just the missing out sad. I have class Tues, Weds, and Thurs in the evenings and so I miss from about 4:30 on with C. I love putting her to bed at night, and spending time with the hubs all together, but lately we have just had opposite schedules. I work Mon and Fri nights and so I just feel so spread thin and I have to make use of every single minute. I think taking two months off over the summer really was nottt a good plan. I still feel like I can do whatever. I just miss my girl.
C has gotten SO tall, and so independent lately. I cannot believe how old she looks!!!

18 miles later
We had a good weekend, we didn't do much but we did go to the cider mill and had our first donuts and cider of the season. C wasn't into the donuts but she was obsessed with cider. She has weird taste buds. She is obsessed with guacamole and loves lemons...
This morning me and the hubs ran 18 miles. Yes. I just said 18 miles. Now my legs want to fall off. I just want this marathon to be over with so I can go back to being lazy in general.

big girl bed
Yesterday was so hot. 98 degrees hot. For most of the day C just ran around in her diaper and we played outside with the sprinkler, a bucket, and some cups. Her and Cody (our dog) ran around and drank water out of the bucket and had the best time. They really tire each other out its kind of awesome, all I do is just get more water for them and have a towel ready for them when they are done. After we played outside, C wanted to wear my shirt, so being the cool mom I am I let her just hang out in my shirt and it was so hilare, it was like a night gown on her and kept falling off but she wouldn't wear anything else. When the hubs got home from work we decided it was time for the big girl bed. I literally was tearing up (?) it was so strange, I was happy but at the same time so SAD I don't want her growing up this fast!! She did great, slept all night in it, but woke up at 6:45 and made a HUGE mess in her room, and at 7:15 said "OUT NOW DADDY BEAR" into the monitor and that was that. (yes she really calls the hubs daddy bear, probably the best thing ever in life). Please excuse the mess in our house, having a crazy toddler makes for a lot of clean up, and some (most) days I just let it go.

12 years ago I walked into Mr. Strauss' 9th grade civics class and heard about the planes hitting the two towers. We went down the hall to a different class to watch footage, our day/life instantly changed. I remember calling my Dad as he was on a business trip at the time and seeing if he was ok. My mom was at home and told me she worked in one of the towers a long, long time ago, I couldn't believe this happened. I remember being at swim practice (which was optional I think) and talking to my friend about this and how weird it was that the date was 9/11/01, it gave me chills.
I think I will always remember where I was, and I think everyone will remember. It is up to us to tell our children about this, as it is apart of our history and something to always remember.

weekend recap
I had the best weekend ever! It was the UM ND football game and so we decided to tailgate for it and have my parents watch C all day (best idea ever) and then it turned out my cousin was coming in for the game and had an extra ticket for the hubs (made his day). So we decided to go tailgate with the hubs friends, then my cousin's friends, then we ran into my friends and it was an all around amazing time. We haven't had an afternoon off of this parenting thing in awhile so it was super nice to just relax and know that my parents had C. Definitely went to bed at 8:30 that night, its probably fine.
What wasn't probably fine was I started breaking out in a rash randomly on Friday, I thought I had some sort of disease but I went to the doctor today and she said it was just hives. Problem solved, thank goodness.
C has been crazy lately, toddlers are no joke.
