Yesterday I wore this shirt from madewell, except it turned out to be like 80 degrees, so I literally wore it for maybe 2 hours then changed into my mom uniform of running shorts and a tank top.  C just stripped off her clothes and ran around in her diaper for most of the day.  I guess we were just soaking up the last day of summer maybe? I know I always crave summer but right now I just want fall.  I have to find C's halloween costume, why can't you ever find something when you need to? We had to get gas yesterday so off we went to Costco, but the pumps had to have maintenence on them when we got there so they were closed for like 20 min.  We obviously went inside to look around and ended up in the big stuffed animal aisle.  C was in heaven.  She didn't even know where to look first so she just stood there pointing to every single one and smiling.  She finally went right to the big dog and hugged it and put it in our cart...usually I am not a sucker for buying her whatever she gets her hands on, but I have literally been wanting this dog for a few months.  So I got it. When we got it home it turned out it was a PILLOW too so C went nuts jumping on it and laying down on it all day long.  Best 19 dollars I ever spent.  

bff day

The other day my bff crazy med school came to visit on her day off, she brought me a mocha frap and noodles and company.  I didn't think she was going to stay past a few hours because of how crazy her schedule is, but she stuck around all day, I took a day off school and it was exactly what I needed.  A day with my bestfriend. We laid around while C was napping for like 3 hours, then the hubs came home, so we went shopping and omg I found my new fav store! Madewell is seriously what I want my closet to look like.  I got two shirts (striped obviously) and then we went to happy hour. Perfect day. 

Also when C woke up she had awful gas pains, so crazy med school told her to lay on her tummy with her butt in the air, and then laid on the floor with her it was so cute.  

thank you so much for coming, you just get me! 

21 months

Charlotte I cannot believe you are 21 months. I know I say this every month

but time needs to slow down a little.

You love to do things by yourself

You love puppies, horses, kittens, pretty much all animals except snakes

You say so many things, not really many sentences yet but

you said "help me mama" the other day and it just about melted my heart.

You love when Daddy comes home from work because he throws you up in the air and gives you kisses and tickles you until you get the hiccups.

You still love me the best, and I kind of am so happy about it. I love that you only want me sometimes.

You don't really like waking up from naps, it takes you awhile to start functioning normally.

You love your friends, and whenever we get in the car you list everyone you know and want to talk to them on the phone constantly. 

Whenever we ask who is on the phone you always say: "Pop Pop" it is so sweet.  You know how to approach dogs with your hand out, but sometimes you just can't resist and give them hugs right away.  You are still a really picky eater, but we keep trying to give you new things.  You always say: "kiss it" whenever you hurt yourself, and as soon as we kiss it you always are happy and go back to playing.  If we are sad, you give the best hugs.  You are really testing your independence recently, and I can tell you know what you want, lots of tantrums, and fake cries every week.  Your hair is getting so long and it is getting so curly, I think you will have ringlet curls, they are so beautiful! You really are the sweetest little girl, and we are so lucky you are in our lives, we don't know what we would do without you baby girl.

Friends for dinner

On Sunday we had some of our friends over for dinner (including C's boyfriend little J) and we had such a great time, I love when we get to include the guys for things, it just makes me happy that we all get a long and the kids were so hilarious at dinner and desert, the each got a muffin and a cookie and they were cracking up and chatting away, C actually stayed sitting for more than 5 min it is a new record for her, thanks guys!

melt down

I literally almost had a melt down today, full on crying, punching my pillow, and yelling all because this one wouldn't nap! (I didn't) So I went to her room, got her blanket, her softy, and her and put her next to me in bed.  Worked like a charm, she PTFO right away.  I don't know weather it was just that she needed some snuggle time or that she is coming down with a cold but sometimes we all just need our moms right? I had to sneak out of there to get my homework done.  I couldn't resist taking a few pictures before I left though.  She is so cute when she sleeps.  I read somewhere that when kids sleep with their arms above their heads it means they are fully relaxed and happy.  I hope that is the case, I needed to do this homework, and can't concentrate at all when Char is yelling MAMA over and over again.  Still love you baby girl :)

randomness

 Soaking up this fall weather! Yesterday me and my mom and C went to the outlets to get a bunch of stuff, and C ended up with a lot more boys shirts than girls.  I just love how plain and simple the boys stuff is, I am not so much into glittery girls clothes.  So I am happy with all her long sleeves, and boots she got and she is obsessed with boots lately so it was a win win.  Today I put Char down for a nap around 1, so far she has pooped twice, wanted water once, yelled "MAMAMAMA HELLP" and "POPPOP CODY" "a million times, and banged on the wall. She won. She is in my bed right now reading books happy as a clam.  I think once she gets a diaper change its all over.  I just had a ton of homework to do so as long as she was quiet and entertaining herself it was fine.  One of my mom friends bought me and the hubs a groupon date night!! I am so excited. She is just the best.  Last night we had a mom night in, 5 of us got together and drank wine and talked our hearts out without any littles interrupting us! We are going to do it every month, and I am just so excited it was so fun to get to know them a bit better and I am always one for some wine and yummy food! 

no more naps

 I am that mom. I love being twins. It is so fun. Today Char slept in until 9 am...or so we thought, turns out we had turned off the monitor by mistake yesterday bc she wasn't napping so we just ignored her.  So who knows when she actually woke up today but we slept in forever so it was amazing! I went through all of C's old clothes today and cleaned out her drawers and closet and put them in a bin for the future babies we have.  I think C is just done with naps. She hasn't napped in 2 days. Either that or we need to put up black out shades on her windows again.  It makes me so upset when she doesn't nap because I need that time for my own sanity. This morning we went to a park that has a small animal farm next door and when we went to visit the animals the goat tried to eat my sweater hahahaa.
