33 week update

 Me: Lulu's dress
C: Hannah Anderson

The lighting was so perfect tonight me and C couldn't resist taking some pictures, she is so cute she says "take a selfie" hahah wonder where she learned that from? (Probably me and Aunt Lisbef) So Russ graciously took a few pictures, and I love how they turned out! He didn't want to be in any pictures because he was wearing scrubs. In my (33 weeks) bump picture standing up it looks like I am WAY bigger then I actually am, I think the wind or the dress just makes it look big...or maybe I am delusional and I really am that big...oh well whatever only 6 more weeks!!!!!
I am getting so ready to meet this little girl, the heartburn has been awful lately, I have restless legs, can't get comfy at night, and am up a lot peeing.  This part of pregnancy sucks.  I am so excited to meet this baby, and so are Russ and Char.  Today we gave C one of the babies newborn diapers to practice on her babies, and she turned one of our old cabinets into a changing table it was literally the cutest thing ever in life.  C still thinks there is a baby in her tummy too, and she told me the other day that her baby sister likes trucks, and cookies.  Good to know C, thanks.
I don't really have any cravings anymore, but I can't eat that much sugar/sweets because I get super shaky and have to lay down.  So I have been trying to eat a lot of protein and that seems to be helping a LOT.  I am just really exhausted, and everything just makes me tired.  I feel so lazy, but I know I am just growing a human so I should take it easy on myself.

Stuff Charlotte Says

Russ: Oh man
Me: What?
Russ: I burned my grilled cheese
Char: He's okay he's just being a big baby

(While riding in the car looking out the window)
Char: that puppy! He's just chillin there

(getting dressed in the morning)
C: Look Mommy I'm wearing my belly band too! (pulling her shorts up to her belly button)

C: (burps) wow that was a GOOD one
Me: What do you say?
C: I burped!

(while driving, I tend to get small spurts of road rage)
Me: UGHHH
C: Annoying people right?

C: I want to see your nipples daddy
R: Let's go get you some clothes on and we can talk about my nipples another day

Russ: Did you poop?
Char: Wanna see? It's just a little guy (pulls her pants down)

Russ: (Trying to get his feet out of the bumbo)
C: Daddy, LAY DOWN you're driving me NUTS

Name Change/Our Saturday

I changed the name of this blog...it was time.  I still love chocolate cake, and dresses but this blog is about my family mostly so I decided it should reflect that a little more! Russ' nick name in college was "Russ Bear" so once we got married his friends started calling us "the Bears" and Char calls Russ "Daddy Bear" so it kind of stuck...at first I wasn't so sure but now I really like the nick name! Bornschein is our last name, and Char's favorite books are "The Bernstein Bear" books, so it is kind of a play on words.
Anyways! We had such a packed Saturday, we went to the zoo, and then the beach.  We decided to skip a nap for C, and it actually didn't backfire on us, she was SO happy and excited the whole day, and now? Blissful quiet.  It helped that we packed her a TON of snacks and that the zoo was only an hour away, and then the beach only an hour from the zoo.  I am so tired though, and I felt like a beached whale because when I laid down at the beach I literally could not get up unless Russ helped me...ohhh well 6 more weeks! We are trying to soak up as much time as we can with our little lady and do as many fun things that are her favorite as we can before baby comes. I have probably told you this a million times, blaming it on pregnancy brain!

Life update

Lately has been just a whirlwind of activity and fun.  I am really trying to update this space more for my records, but it has been hard with our crazy schedule.  We went and visited our really good friends in Ohio for a night since they were visiting from AZ where they recently moved.  It was SO great to see them (we missed you Cal!) and catch up, and watch the kids fall right back into playing with each other like no time had even passed.  They love each other so much, and we miss seeing them all the time!
Boat Selfie, these two cuties love the water.

When Russ left for a whole week (remind me never to let him do that again while I am 8 months pregnant) me and C had a LOT of bonding time.  We love each other but we so missed Russ, it is so hard for me to bend over and even walk anywhere with her but she was really patient with me and gave me lots of kisses, asked me if I was allright, and brought me (pretend) tea and cookies.

We went to a petting zoo/farm today and it was a complete surprise to me that C loved all the animals and wanted to pet them all (including the snake!) last summer she was SO scared of touching any animal other then a dog or a cat.  It was awesome.  She loves horses the most and we spent most of our time petting them.  We called R on the way home and he asked her what her favorite part was and she said "the snake daddy! He was so COLD" complete 360 from last year.  Awesome.

My BFF Olivia came for a few hours on Saturday and it was seriously so great seeing her.  She is literally the nicest person in the world, and C adores her.  They played play-dough (omg don't get me started on how much play-dough play time we have had its insane) and laughed the whole time.  Come back soon Aunt Livi!!

When we were up north last week on our girls trip, me and C had to share a bed.  She is the worst person to share a bed or a room with because she moves like a tornado, and sleep talks, sleep screams, and KICKS.  I honestly didn't get more then 3 hours of sleep each night.  She is so cute when she sleeps though I forgave her :)

In other news I am pursuing photography as a hobby! I have taken a few clients on (my good friend's maternity pics, and my brother and SIL's anniversary pics) and I cannot WAIT to keep moving forward with it.  It has always been a passion of mine and I just love to take pictures.  I will update this blog soon on those photo shoots, but right now I am working on my very own website! Lots of exciting things happening, and not very much time until this baby girl makes her appearance!!

C

I just love this little girl.  I have tried my hardest to spend as much one on one time with her as possible since baby number two is fast approaching (I cannot believe I am 32 weeks already).  She loves wearing dresses, having photo shoots with "my mommy" and play dough.  She is not a huge fan of bugs and is convinced there are spiders and bees everywhere.

Girls week

This week has been crazy.  Russ left for a work trip on Sunday and so me and C have just been hanging out and having a girls week.  Wednesday morning we left for up north for a girls trip with two of my good friends, we got there and immediately took a nap, then went to the beach.  It wasn't that warm so C was the only one in her bathing suit but it was gorgeous out.  The next day we headed to Mackinac Island to bike around the island, and it was a gorgeous day, the water was SO blue, granted riding 7 miles on a bike just about killed me it was so worth it.  All in all it was a fun trip, and I am so glad we went.  I am exhausted though, just physically, emotionally, everything.  I almost cried like 3 times today because I was so tired and I am just sick of Russ not being here.  He gets back tomorrow night and I just can't wait to not be a single mom anymore! I know I have no room to complain because plenty of moms are in this situation and it could be ten times worse, but for real being 32 weeks pregnant, chasing after a 2.5 year old, and not having anyone really to help out REALLY tired me out.  A huge thank you to my friends for putting up with C and her non stop talking, I know it made for a tiring few days! Welcome to my life... :)
Girls week is almost over, R comes home tomorrow night and I literally cannot wait to SLEEP.

very best dad

Today was jam packed full.  Russ leaves tomorrow for a conference for a whole week (ugh) so he is missing fathers day, so we decided to have a fun day mostly outside.  We went strawberry picking, and to the Arb which is one of my favorite places other then the beach! I took some pictures of my brother and SIL and their cute dog for my portfolio, and I am super happy with how they turned out! The day was literally perfect, and I am so happy we got to spend it with our fav guy! Happy Father's day to you, you are the very best dad our girls could ever have, and they are so lucky to have you.
