so random

day 2 of classes went great! i met lots of friends but you guys. i am old. my friends in the class are all 19-22 year olds...its probably fine.

i am watching big rich texas... i know its trashy...and this girl's boyf's name is BOOGER. what. the. f.

i have a weird dry spot above my eye and its really unfortunate.

me and the hubs are going to play the golden globes tina fey/amy poehler drinking game, look it up its hilare.

 poor C fell and got a boo boo today, but shes super awesome and is fine now

What's on A's Phone?!

Today we took my cousin's boyfriend from Cali to dinner (he is interviewing for med school here) and we had a new waiter who bless his heart was trying so hard to be confident, and know what was on the menu, but holy mother he talked WAY too much about freaking wine.  and more wine.  i finally had to kick the hubs to order something so he would stop talking about WINE.  When he finally stopped talking (i think he was nervous) dinner was delish.

 i got this sweater for Christmas, and the hubs said it looked really 80s, but i don't care it is the most comfy sweater ever in life, and i love it!

 hahahah I got these hats for us for christmas from Target, and I am obsessed!

hahaha char baby always eats paper so the hubs told me to go eat some...i really wanted cheese though its way more filling.

planners and school

ok never thought i would ever say this but....I LOVE SCHOOL! so far at least. except finding parking is such a bummer, you have to stalk people.  also my classroom smelled like bacon. what a weird smell for a classroom.

tomorrow we are going to Taco Tuesday (its where taco's are a dollar and we used to go all the time) its the cheapest most fun date night ever in life.  char baby is grumpy today again, we think its because she is growing because she just eats and eats and eats. i forgot to tell you she is in the 100th percentile for both height and weight, and only has to grow 4 inches by the time she is 2 years old to be on track to be 6 FEET TALL! we are raising a giant.  she will be taller then me and the hubs.

I went into target today to get myself a planner to stay organized this year (you guys I actually walked out of there with JUST that) and i was looking around and all of their nordstrom stuff was like 70% off, I cannot even believe i walked out of there with just my planner.  I am getting super responsible!

this is old. obviously. but my hair has gotten so thin:( and this is my birthday last year it was super thick and had so much body (best part about having a baby is your hair gets AMAZING)

1,2,3 and the weekend

I am using the 1,2,3 idea from a great blog I follow, thank you Ali :)

1.) we had a wonderful weekend, we visited some old friends that had a baby recently and C LOVED her, and kept trying to pet her it was just so cute she will be a wonderful older sister (someday don't worry it will be awhile).  We discovered Char baby talks in her sleep, after sleeping in the same room with her it is so funny, she will be sound asleep and just start jabbering away!

2.) do you ever have those days where you wonder if what you are doing as a parent is good enough? I have them all the time, and i wonder if i am teaching her the right stuff, or if we are doing enough, or if i am on my phone taking pictures too much of her instead of living in the moment.  she is just so perfect, and little and I am the one that is supposed to be her role model.  and i am so NOT perfect.  but all i can do is try, and i guess that is all anyone can do.  i just remember the day we found out i was pregnant and i had all these emotions running through me but the one i remember most is fear.  i didn't think i could be a good enough mom because i was too selfish about my own stuff. but having Char for a year now has made me realize i still CAN be selfish, just in different ways.  I love her so much, and I couldn't even imagine a day without her in my life, i feel so lucky that she calls me mama, and i definitely don't feel like i am baby sitting anymore!

3.) the hubs stepped in cat poop THREE times in a span of 3 days...hahahaah poor R.

 mya is 11 weeks she is so pretty, and seriously has wayyy more hair then Char

 we are down to 1 bottle a day...I just don't have the heart to take it away yet

petting mya, we tell her to "be gentle" with our cats all the time so she associates it with petting...I guess i don't really know how to break that habit with people? its probably fine

What's on A's Phone?!

I start school on MONDAY!!! I seriously am so excited because it is actually what I want to be doing, and I am hoping that I like the classes...I am a little nervous because I am taking some online classes as well as on campus, so I am hoping that I can get organized and stay on top of things.

no more formula!

so me and the hubs just finished insanity! We loved it, and both got amazing results.  We lost inches, weight, and sweat a LOT! I really recommend it to anyone, its awesome PLUS you don't need to go outside! (in 5 degree weather its perfect)

Today was the first day that the hubs had to go back to work after having like 10 days off it was super weird to have a girls day, but we had so much fun, Char baby loves to dance so we have tons of dance parties she bobs her little head up and down and shakes her booty. the. cutest. thing. ever.

we are off formula! yayy we have actually been off of it for awhile now, and the transition was pretty easy, so now we only spend 2.50 a week on her milk instead of 30 dollars...YAY! next up: getting rid of her pacifier (which she calls her "deedee") which may take a little longer, i am okay with her going until 2 with it but no longer then that! Also we are almost bottle free, which is fine with me too I like giving her a bottle before bed its like my special bonding time with her...next up is potty training! i hate buying diapers and wipes...thank god for costco seriously!

today i am starting Jillian Michael's 30 day shred...and we also just signed up for the Detroit full marathon...ahhhh 26.2 MILES!!! I am all sorts of excited/nervous i get the nervous toots just thinking about it!

2013 and Char baby turns 1

HAPPY 2013!!! and also Happy birthday (on the 31st) to my beautiful little girl! I was a party animal last night...had 2 glasses of wine, in my pajamas, watching enchanted, and eating popcorn...fast forward to 11 p.m. and I was very asleep with the hubs yelling at me to wake up every 10 min because i was being so lame...he then 10 min to midnight popped the champagne bottle and very rudely woke me up to kiss me at midnight! In all seriousness it was one of my favorite new years eves to date (other then the one last year when Char baby was born and the nurses brought us chocolate cake and sparkling juice)

my new year's goals are as follows:
1.) run a marathon
2.) cook more
3.) be grateful for what I have
4.) do well in school

We did all of Char's fav things yesterday for her birthday, we went to Jungle Java (where we had to pay 3 dollars bc she is finally 1), the mall play area, and she got all the berries she could eat for lunch (her fav) then after her nap we went over to one of her baby BFF's house for dinner, where J's mom put a huge beach towell on the floor with cupcakes and they demolished them.  Char baby proceeded to sit on her cup cake and take J's but he didn't care because the wrapper was what he most liked.  It was probably the cutest thing ever in life.

we had a small family party (I got overwhelmed with everything I had to do so I decided against a big bday bash) and she got to open more presents (because the ones at christmas wasn't enough) eat cake (we made an awesome smash cake, and she cried at it) she didn't cry seeing santa, but cried at her birthday cake?!

I cannot believe she is 1.  it boggles my mind.  its crazy.  the hubs tried to make me cry all day because i get super emotional sometimes, but i only teared up once!
